1980 thru 2001
An acquisition program was set into motion in the mid 1980s. This program enabled us to acquire seven competing companies, four in the Cincinnati/Dayton market and three others in the Columbus, Ohio, Lexington, Ky. and Indianapolis, In. areas. With these acquisitions came a change in our company name to, Presto “America’s Favorite Foods”. This name better identified our expansion into the Italian restaurant arena.
In 2001 the Lexington and Indianapolis facilities were merged into a larger warehouse in Louisville, Ky. With this completed Presto offered its special brand of foodservice sales, products and distribution to the Italian and pizza trade out of three distribution centers, Dayton, Louisville and Columbus.
